Try reducing your photo to 10-12MB in PS.
Post the photo in your message via the black arrow (top right)
Then click the little square (bottom left) next to the x.
Click 'preview' to see if it worked and post.
I noticed that too. What I will do with my images presently is either upload them from my computer (an easy task even if I need to retrieve them if they are in Flickr... just download the size you want to your computer then quickly upload to a post) OR set up a free a second "free" Flickr account for my public photos so I don't need to be concerned with my whole portfolio.
It is a new site and features may be added or changed as it evolves. Threaded view, alerts, dark mode, and other features will hopefully be instituted as time goes on. The amazing aspect of this site as currently constructed is it has been in existence for less than 2 weeks! DPR evolved over 25 years. Because of its infancy I will cut them some slack. 😁😁. At least we have a home to post photos for the moment.
If you wish the image to display in your post, at the time you are posting, you need to click on your uploaded image that brings up a small box. Click on the square rectangle which will then produce code that will display your image. The instructions are in a separate thread at the top of the categories list on this site though I don't have a link (sorry.) Give it another try if you want.
This is an attempt using the upload method that Poldersnapper suggested.
This still results in a small photo yet if somone clicks it they see the size I intend the image to be. This is moving in the correct direction. Why is an extra click required. How many people will click through like this? It's an imitation of the dated approach used on DPReview. This is the 21's century! The photo should size based on what the browser reports.

All these things we want to do. At the moment we're taking stock of all the things we want to do.

Take your time, Bobn2. We have patience.
It is nothing short of amazing what you and Alan have achieved in such a short time. 👍
Have a good weekend, hope you can get some spare time. 😉
Seems not too different from DPR. Clicking on the image here to get a larger view is similar to clicking on Original Size on DPR. I think as time goes on the site will evolve. As I stated in another post, DPR existed for 25 years. DPRevived.com is coming upon to 2 weeks. Furthermore Alan and Bob are very hands-on at this point. For me, the fact they established this forum is enough to enrich my patience.
Yes, just uploading from my computer seems to work fine and is easy to do. I use Flickr primarily for posting pics on the only other "social media" I use - a private BB for upland bird hunters. I have all of my finished photos on my hard drives in reduced res posting size (usually a bit less than 2MB). Plus, I keep the pure OOC file and the large PS files for all of my "keeper" images on my hard drives.
Yep, I get that. If this place is as enjoyable and the people here are as interesting, helpful and friendly as the two DPR forums I used, putting up with some less-than-ideal technical issues is not a problem.
I'm hoping that people here won't be "offended" by pics of hunting and an occasional tasteful pic of dead game birds. If they are, I should probably leave now. Bliss pointing a sharptail grouse in Montana:
