This is probably where I will hang out the most moving forward.
I’m a big bridge camera user and why I moderated on quite a few of those forums for Dpr for 10 years 😁

Great! Glad to have you here.
I hope we find interesting talking points.
I am HOME! I'm going to jump right in here, this is something I've wanted for a long time. After using my small sensor "bridge" I thought apsc would be a huge upgrade. In some ways it is but, for me, the cost just isn't worth it. If I have a definite subject in mind lugging a lot of equipment may be worth it but usually my shots are spur of the moment, shots of instant opportunity. So, my "bridge" is what is with me all the time, from max. zoom to macro with no lens changes.
True, that if extreme crops are your norm, a smaller sensor may be a hinderance but with all the post processing programs available? Maybe not so much any more. I, for one, would love to see an easy comparison with other brands and share photos with like minded people. Truth is, there may not be enough interest is the "bridge" cameras to make it worth having a separate thread for each make. (Just my opinion) In the past, my "bridge" posts were buried into oblivion, with never a notice by the "expensive" camera crowd.
Here's a couple fairly recent shots just to break the ice. As always I welcome any (constructive) criticism or comments
Hope to see you here for a long time!
Nice to see a few familiar names here. I am also big on bridge cameras. X-S1 and RX10 are my two remaining cameras. It seems with Topaz Photo AI, my X-S1 especially has been given new life. The image quality is so improved! Noise and sharpness are markedly better. That is the ideal situation now.
Good to see you here.
