Thanks everyone for the contributions of the last fortnight.
    Just an interesting two weeks.

So, this is Christmas; and we're surrounded by all the glitter, grub and geegaws.
This time, let's get up close and personal with all that shiny tinsel, all that LED glow
and the roaring flames of too much brandy on the Christmas Pud.
Shoot as much or as little as you like, but lets see some 2025 on them ?
The ghost of Christmas past was always overrated, so let's spread some colour and some cheer.
Have a great one, everybody, enjoy the season, that's what it's for !

Here's my kickoff, somewhat blown, but some reflective surfaces will never come good until we have 100 stops of DR !
Tuned to 11, it's the season for OTT, after all.
I'll post the original shot at the end of the fortnight and if yours is mysterious enough, I urge you to do the same.

Well, first I had you down for a raid on an albino bee-hive, but I'm going to settle on fish in aspic ?
Nice confusing shot, exactly as requested.

'and to bed this one, here's my original shot

    1. I thought your image was about Red Caviar (red salmon roe).😀

    2. In my image there are details of the cream of a poppy seed cake according to a German recipe. The poppy seeds are dark gray, almost black, and the poppy seed cream looks the same in normal lighting. Poppy seed and walnut cakes are highly appreciated among the delicacies offered during Christmas.
What is visible in my image, in the central area, is what is left of a poppy seed after processing and baking (in backlight). You can also see other poppy seed fragments on the left side of the image. (FoV ~4mm)🙂
