    First Light Edwards Plateau

This image was planned a few weeks before being shot in the field. By coincidence it is the last photo I made before being unable to travel at will. That does not improve the image in any way but it does make it something of a personal milestone. For what that is worth.

No idea why - unless you start to remove the fences and shoot again -
But I find it quite nice, with a beautiful sky.

I know about some path stone and no return sign, my friend.

    ( and it's nice to have a picture )

I appreciate your comments and feedback. Given your reaction it seems the image has failed to stand on its own merits.

The image comments on land uses in rural Texas such as exotic and native game ranching. The type of fence and destruction of trees along the perimeter are common management practices. The natural environment contrasts with the infrastructure. Not that you would or should know that to read the image.

    Yes, I missed it.

    Thanks for the explanation.

We have too many fences here in Europe.
the fields are so small that it costs more fuel to reach them than to do the cultivation.

There was a bit of a fire burning under these clouds and light winds were allowing the smoke to drift around beneath them
