    Steve,

There's a lot of birds there. Why are there so many? Yeah, you should not disturb the peace of the King. 😀

    David,

I really appreciated seeing the image when looking at the larger size. There's a lot of detail there. Should it be straightened a little? It looks like it's leaning a little to the left side. But it seems straight on the bottom on the larger sized image. I wonder if it's an optical illusion.

    Dig,

I've mentioned this before. Twice a year, the starlings gather together in preparation for their migration either north or south, depending on the season. With respect to starlings, these gatherings are called Constellations, or Murmurations. I believe they are following the harvests, where there is food to be found among the fallen grain.

They number in the hundreds of thousands and move with one mind. It's a force of nature like the tides.

I live in a flight zone, and watching them pass overhead is a sight to behold. The sound is deafening, and their passing will blot out the sun. You truly do feel like you have "disturbed the peace of the king."

    Grin 😊

    Steve,

That's an impressive video. You should look for other opportunities to photograph these flying birds, either with stills or video.

    Digi,

Thanks for you comments. I like to see the detail. The perspective problem was due to taking it from the right hand side. I tried the auto-correction in PhotoLab, but it did a terrible job. What I now notice is that the LHS was vertical, but not the RHS. Using the manual perspective adjustment, I think I have fixed that. What do you think?

Notice the mesh inside the courtyard, which is to keep birds from nesting and crapping on the visitors!

By the way, looking at my earlier photos of this, from last year in the summer, I notice that the painting of the artwork below the arch is not recent, but it really shows to advantage under the lights.

    David,

The photo looks much better to me...great job! 😀 That's interesting to hear about the mesh. That's a beautiful building.
