This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

Subject: Small Falls at Silver Falls State Park

Previously, I showed pictures of a large falls at Silver Falls State Park. Here's some photos of a smaller falls. There are a total of ten falls at this state park. If a person was to hike the trail to see all of them it would be about 7 or 8 miles. The day that I took these photos in September of 2021, I had only walked about 3 miles. These are really spectacular. I definitely would like to go back and see more of them.

We did have a nice weekend again, nice and also sunny winter weather.😎
Visited forestry.Anloo and followed a few lesser visited trails at the Evertsbos forest
We spotted some roe deer but they were just to quick to get a decent photo, but a hare did wait.

    Photobygms,

You'll have to show us your Iceland waterfalls. For this second smaller falls, I did not take many photos. Hopefully sometime this summer or autumn, I'll be back there again.

    Photobygms,

I like seeing the winter scenes. It reminds me of the weather we had. We only got about two inches of snow, but by the next day it was melted. I especially like seeing the bird in the 6th photo.

Just a few more from Iceland:and not only waterfalls😉
We visited Iceland in 2017, rented a 4x4 and drove around following the ringroad (road/route 1) and a few F-roads.
We still have to go back for the West Iceland part.

Yesterday a new lens arrived and it was a nice (if cold day). So, I decided on a quick walk around Rochdale. Most of these are SOOC - first one had shadows raised a bit.

    Alan,

I always appreciate the older buildings, statues and structures you have in England. The oldest building (a cabin) that we have where I live in Oregon, is only about 235 years old. What a lovely day you had! I like the colorful flowers.

    Subject: Cormorants

Here are some cormorants I found on December 21st of last year. I did not use the DSLR camera with the Tamron 150-600mm lens because we had too much rain. But I was able to fit the Canon R8 with the RF 100-400mm lens beneath an umbrella. The rain would start and stop enough so I could get some pictures.

Photo No. 1 - I only got this one of both birds together.

    Subject: Focus Bracketing and Stacking

Here's some crocus flowers I took during dark cloudy weather before the next rain storm. I decided to focus bracket and stack them in this new camera. I was pleased with the results. When we have sunny weather next week, I hope the flowers are looking better. This was mostly to experiment with this new feature. I'll keep practicing with it.

First here's the non-focus bracketed and stacked image.

Secondly, here's the focus bracketed and stacked image. I slightly brightened it.
