This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

Digirame will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) normally to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.
This week Digirame is still away on a short holiday, so I started the new thread

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

A different hike for a change, this time I went for a solo hike and decided to follow the Knapzakroute K21.
These knapzakroutes are longer hiking trails through Drenthe
I Started in a small village calledZeegse and followed the 15km trail the other way around.
Only due the rain lately the part near the Zeegersloopje was flooded and to deep to cross.
But with a small detour still a nice hike. And after a cloudy start the sun did show up.

    Welcome back @Digirame 👍

@stevet1 a nice cloudy photo 😁 We call those clouds here Sheepclouds (translated from dutch) because the in a way look like sheep.
They do indicate as you mention there could be rain or snow coming

Subject: October 11, 2025 Wood Ducks And One Other

Here's some wood ducks and one other kind of duck that I found on October 11th. Some of them are nearly duplicated because I was in a hurry to submit this because I will be super busy post processing my trip photos. So, that's the reason. But I hope you like them.

I should mention that these were taken during cloudy weather and/or in the shadows of some trees. That's why I kept the shutter speed a little slower than I would have liked. Later I can show you all photos of these wood ducks in sunlight.

Photo No. 1 - Here's a nice photo of a young female wood duck.
    ResizedDPR1.jpg
    Model - Canon EOS 800D
    ExposureTime - 1/200 seconds
    FNumber - 9
    ISOSpeedRatings - 4000
    ExposureBiasValue - 0
    FocalLength - 600 mm
Lens Model - TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD A011

Photo No. 2 - Here's the female wood duck perched on a branch, with a distracting branch.
    ResizedDPR2.jpg
    Model - Canon EOS 800D
    ExposureTime - 1/200 seconds
    FNumber - 9
    ISOSpeedRatings - 8000

    FocalLength - 600 mm
Lens Model - TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD A011

Photo No. 3 - I found a free software to remove the distracting branch, but they resized it a little smaller. I believe the EXIF data was removed also.

    Model - Canon EOS 800D

    FocalLength - 600 mm
Lens Model - TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD A011

Photo No. 4 - I don't know the type of duck this is, without looking it up. But it was interesting.

The first time I came to Vienna, at the end of November 1981, I drove from England. There was thick snow on the ground from the beginning of Austria (Salzburg) and when I arrived in Vienna I was amazed to see cars sliding all over the roads. Since I moved here, in 2013, There has been little snow. It must be due to global warming. But this morning I awoke to see some outside.

    L1010181_b.jpg

Not much of it, but gratifying, nonetheless. Amazingly, there seems to be more snow here than in the west of the country.

Having invested in winter wheels for my new (to me) car, I am pleased to see that I shall get some use from them!

    David,

It's nice to see the snow. We drove through a little snow on a mountain pass on our last trip. I did take a few pictures of it, but the window tint changed the colors a little bit (except when I opened the side passenger window).
