This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

Lovely flowers, only I might have added a bit more contrast I think 😉
And a nice easy hike in a nice area at least it looks like that, nice wide trail 😎

The weather in the weather was again in our favor so after a day hard work in our garden we visited the Balloërveld nature reserve the next day1
Decided to follow a trail called the Boswachterspad Balloërveld.
Spotted a few lambs and calves enjoying the spring like temperatures 😁

Thanks Photobygms. I was going to mention that the flowers were taken in the shadows of some large trees. I didn't know if I should have added contrast, because what I showed was what I saw naturally (being in the shadows). But yes, some contrast or brighter conditions might have helped. I also thought about brightening these up a little too. I can experiment some with them and see what I get. But I left them that way and was only going to adjust them if someone commented. Thanks for noticing. You have a "good eye" for that. 😀

It was a nice hike. The trail is popular for a lot of people that live in the area. I went there again about two weeks later.

    Photobygms,

What I like about your photos each time, is that they always look so different. It is so nice to have those large parks or nature reserves where you live. We have a lot of parks also in our metropolitan area, but they appear to be much smaller. If I want to go on longer hikes, I have to travel further away. I did go to Mt. Hood yesterday. That was fun. There was some snow on the higher elevations, but with warm weather the snow pack was low. That volcanic mountain reaches 11,240 feet above sea level (3427 meters).

In your photos I like seeing some people far away, for it helps dimension the trees and makes us feel like we are not alone. I like seeing the animals too. We have to stay away from the large ones with large horns, although. 😀
