This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

    Subject: Male Red-winged Blackbird

On January 12th of this year, I went out looking for more birds. I got some good ones of a male Red-winged Blackbird

Photo No. 1 - First I thought I would show you all where I found this black bird. Since some people feed the ducks like this lady was doing, the birds like to join in also. So I captured the bird on one of these posts.

Love the crocuses, does give a spring feeling 😎
Those Blackbirds is a species that we don't see in Europe. The common variety is the one we see in Europe, nicely captured!

Our photos are not that great, quality is less than we normally like to see. Did take our little Canon SX740HS.
We put it to the max during a concert and during a relaxing hike the day after that concert.
We went to the Ziggo Dome (Amsterdam) and enjoyed the Epica & Amaranthe Arcane Dimensions Tour

Charlotte Wessels and The Obsession was the first up.

The day after the concert we decided to make a stop while driving home again from Amsterdam. (stayed in a hotel close to the Ziggo dome)
A nice relaxing and quiet short hike, only the weather was not that great.
Our little SX740HS was all we had:

Thanks Photobygms. It's rare that I see these Crocus flowers in January. It's been warm and dry, although yesterday we had pouring rain. I hope you liked seeing where I hunt for these birds. I like to find places where the vegetation is low, where these birds land for great photo opportunities.

Wow, that's neat Photobygms. You got some great photos. I've taken my Canon RP and used the silent shutter for some indoor performances. I hope to be able to use the Canon R8 in the future as it will allow me to use higher shutter speeds for these performances.

    Photobygms,

The weather was not great, but that looks nice with the fog. Where you live...that is so wonderful for hiking.

This was actually at the Hulshorsterzand reserve which is part of the Veluwe
The Hulshorsterzand is an area where forest and heather alternate.
