    You are welcome. 😉
I installed 3 or 4 and found Exify the most handy. I'll keep a couple of others though since they give more information. But they add themselves to the context menu and opens in a new window, so Exify was the best for here of those I tried. I don't really want more than camera, lens, focal length, ss, aperture, so I turned everything else off.

But, this didn't work on Rich's images. Very Strange.

Not for me either. Probably they have the EXIF stripped out..

BTW did you have another name on DPR?

No, same name as on DPReview.

Well, my images of the snow scenes yesterday don't have the EXIF stripped out and EXIFY doesn't show it for them either. Just for the image of Rich's that I embedded in my prior post. Hum - let me try that with my own image and see if it works.
    Testing for EXIFY
Worked on a preview, let me post it and check again.
Edit Yep, it works on this photo after posting.
Why should EXIFY care how the image was inserted.
Obviouly the EXIF data is in the image because I just copied and pasted the link.

(I'm using Firefox) Exify does not work when I hover over the image shown inside the post. Once I click on the photo, though, and get it as the sole content of the browser window, the metadata shows along the bottom of the picture all right.

Works for me. Pretty image. But I'm tired of snow. We got it too - when we should have spring and pretty flowers.

Did you enable Image Hover in settings?

Thanks for your response. It still doesn't work on the image shown in the post for me in Chrome unless the image was inserted using the picture link box.
For other photos, clicking on the photo, which opens it in a new tab didn't appear to work.
That seems to be because the cursor is a magnifying glass. Moving the cursor off the image and back on makes it appear.
Right clicking on an image in the post and selecting "Open image in a new tab" comes up and displays the EXIF info right away.
It would be nice if it displayed on the image in the original post.
Well, at least now I know how to make it work and it isn't too inconvenient.

Well, did YOU enable the hover thing in settings?

    Yes, and;

AlanSh Forum Admin, in a thread on showing EXIF said:
Be aware that on this site, the large thumbnails that are generated do not include Exif data.

I use Firefox, Charlotte. I tried Exify. It only shows part of the Exif.
I hope you get your bike lane before you are too old to enjoy it. Rich

Rich: What EXIF info are you wanting to see that it doesn't show?
By default it shows, Camera & Lens used, f/stop, & shutter speed
If you click on the icon it shows additional info, for example on my photo above
it shows grey and RGB histograms, metering mode, exposure, exposure mose, date taken, and software
Ohps! Where's ISO? It shows that when I click on the thumbnail and get a tab dedicated to displaying the image.

Thought I'd try out an idea.
If I put a large thumbnail in this post by uploading the photo then using the picture link rather than embed ...

Exify should display the EXIF on the thumbnail.
    Yep, it does.
I wonder why embed is different?

Then why do I see it? Maybe Alan meant the small thumb?

    exif.jpg

BTW the thumb is gone in most posts that have a large image now (thank you!), but not from all.

Rich, are there no worries about the long screws going into the redwoods damaging the trees??? The smaller file size allowed here is a bit disappointing at times. The walkway appears to be both suspended from higher up on the tree and with wooden supports under it attached to the tree.

AlanSH has created a new forum within the Olympus, Panasonic, and Micro Four Thirds group for us to use for our previous weekly threads. It is called "The Weekly m4/3 Talk".

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THE LOCALY PINNED WELCOME!!!!!!!

It is my intention that each of you will post your own THREAD that contains your image or images. That way any replies to your image will be contained within your thread and you will not have to search them out!!!!!!

When you are ready to post more images, start a new thread! There will be no more Weekly Threads. It will become a non ending list of images and responses, with what ever discussion that leads to, occuring within each thread.

I hope this is 1: understandable, 2: in keeping with our past practices as much as can be without a thread view, 3: to your liking!!!!

Thanks to AlanSH and Bob2n for making this possible!!!!!!!

    See you there, I hope!

I asked that question a long time ago in Rdwd Nat'l Park in the museum. They told me it does not. Also, the burl wood is beautifully grained and very expensive. Awful people will find a burl, even in a park, and come back with a chainsaw and saw it off. Even that doesn't kill the tree. If they get caught, the penalties are draconian, but I'd just saw of one of their arms with a dull chainsaw and no bar oil.

I don't understand your advice about where and how to post. I'll get it eventually. Rich

Rich, it's a new subforum. Categories > Olympus, Panasonic, and Micro Four Thirds > The weekly M4/3 Talk
    dprevived.com/c/the-weekly-m43-talk/135/

I'm not ecstatic about it. Didn't want to lose the weekly bit. But we'll see.

The piggies look tasty though! And they should be fat enough to be tender. 😛
