This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT) and is open for submissions and discussions about images and processing techniques until the next Saturday, or a new thread is started.

From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Well I don't see anything like what Stephen3 showed in his reply to the "On the Threaded View" thread. If any one can enlighten me please feel free to do so! Remember I am mildly sedated now while trying to kill some backpain!

Even I understand that hockey picture. Very cute! And I'm so glad to see you here.

What he means is just that using one of the Reply buttons at the top and bottom of the thread doesn't quote anything. It doesn't make it threaded as we want, it just makes the thread more readable. As it is now people tend to quote everything, either it's needed or not. For example there is no need to quote what you wrote if I'm posting an image. And there's almost never need to quote a whole post. One can use the other Reply button under the post one replies to and edit the quote down to just what's needed to make sense. Extensive quoting makes the threads cumbersome to read.

Alas I didn't realize until now when I edited the picture that the pretty flower is Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera). An invasive species that causes a lot of problems. Had I known I would have killed it with my spear! 👹

Hockey is still with us .. I like this one from the file I suspect!!... Very nice ... Replies are where the problems start .. I leave the picture so it's easier to follow I think.. maybe you have other thoughts? .... Not sure how we see the EXIF data except to have a browser ap ( not even sure how to spell and use the "word" ap ....

I don't see how we can change the title of the thread in our replies.

Putting the EXIF data into the message turned out to be pretty easy.
I selected the image in FastStone Image Viewer, displayed the image properties, selected the first field of the EXIF, and while only "OLYMPUS CORPORATION" highlighted, it put all the below EXIF data in the clipboard, so, only one Copy/Paste operation required. It will be nice when this is no longer necessary, but it's not too big an ask for now.
