Oh Wow !
that is a definitely a shot with beautiful light.
And I can echo your wish,
"Good light to one and all in 2026" 😀
Three interesting shots here. Keep 'em coming :-)
I find this shot to be the best of your series from this area, that you've posted in the last few weeks.
Well done!
The red, green and white are spectacular they work together really well.
There's exactly the right amount of blur (for me) in the water .
Overall, very well composed,...
The river has that classic "S" shape and takes you right back into the image. So there's a good feeling of depth ( and power) here.
There's "room to breathe" at the top of the image, it doesn't feel cramped in any away.
Also from a technical point of view the focus and sharpness is better in this photo compared to some of the others.

Thank you. I definitely took several different images to get a good amount of blur as you mentioned. I wonder if the sharpness is coming from combining two images with different focus points. I took two to get better exposure (especially trying to slightly lift the blacks/shadows under parts of the logs while keeping that water blur from turning into a completely undefined/large white blob). I moved the focus point between the two images- which would expand the depth of field as well.
Christmas Lights and decorations like these make a great subject! Children's eyes shine just as bright as the lights themselves. And, when it's cold outside, they warm the hearts of (most of) the old ones too.
Thanks for sharing.
Sorry was away for a week...Near Ghent although I like to say it's a when rather than a where,,,1974
