    The Weekly Street Photography Thread
Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.
We start it on Fridays. We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

I’m very pleased with the DoF provided by the 28mm 1.7 lens at Blackfriars train station, even though I was quite far from the subject. It’s a heavily cropped photo.

Arte museum in Las Vegas last week, people mixed with reflections of themselves but also reflections of other people and projections of still others. Surreal but fun. Hard to tell what's real.

A busy junction. I liked the tilted frame and use of SS. I wish the bus was not there, though.

A nice fish restaurant. I have been there once, but I was not impressed with the fish. I think you needed a bit wider lens for this shot, but there are beautiful colours.

Nice clean images, your Pana serves you well in low light situations. I like the delivery driver shot more, these delivery drivers are same everywhere I guess.

A busy scene, it is almost an abstract take and an impressive result for a phone camera in this challenging lighting.

It does indeed. And that's not really the main reason I bought it to be perfectly honest. I'm very very happy with its performance none the less.

And yes, we visit Melbourne a bit when back in Australia, and that style of delivery service seems to have really taken off there as well. Electric bicycle's and scooters buzzing around in all directions on a Saturday night, delivering takeaway food. I can see where it originated now :)

I am really curious about this place. You have documented it very well, perhaps a little bit of information will help to understand the place.

It's a small rural-ish city, in the Jilin province (a province is like a state in America or Australia) of Northern China. I had it explained to me that if you think of the map of China as a Rooster, Jilin is the eye of the Rooster :)
Spent a lot more time here this trip than intended, as I somehow picked up a DVT/blood clot on the flight over, so spent nearly 3 weeks immobilzed. And a couple of hospital visits. Big PITA.
The Wife has family here, we sort of base ourselves here and wander off in various directions. Domestically . Had to cancel that and spent our time relatively local. As we decided to heed Doctors advice and avoid air travel/sitting for lengthy periods for a month. We've done a fair bit of wandering about the place, touristy stuff like the Great Wall, Terracotta warriors etc, and some lesser known like the Thousand Buddha caves. And a couple of places of interest out in the Gobi desert.
The small city here basically services the farming sector, as far as I can tell. Predominantly growing Corn, Soybeans and a little bit of Rice.
I've been travelling over here since the early 2000's and the changes I've seen in that time have been big. In some ways. And not in others. It's fascinating to watch.
    One small example

Some of the Wife's relatives are farmer's, so we tend to see both the city, and rural sides of life.
I thoroughly enjoy it, the people are friendly and curious in equal measure, the food is fantastic, so even though we had to cancel our planned internal travel plans, it's been no real hardship to spend some time here, and stroll about with a camera in hand :)

Sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same. Same street corner, 13 years apart

I’m so grateful for your messages. I find them very interesting, as I’ve witnessed similar changes in Turkey.

This is a lovely capture. Seeing the scene on the phone’s screen adds something to it, and the BW conversion has a very nice tonality.
