    The Weekly Street Photography Thread

Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.
We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

I wish you'd waited for the train to get a little closer. Otherwise, a lovely picture.

I had a nice walk on a sunny day around Rochdale.

I thought the shop name matched the person passing by

    This amused me

And the colour in these steps was great

    Comments appreciated.

I ran across this one recently and realized I'd never shared it, because I was bothered by the blur from the couple who were threading their way through the musicians and their friends on Royal St. I find I'm less bothered by the blur than I once was, so here it is.

I like how they're all engrossed in their own little worlds...

I don't think that the blur is a problem, it is a nice and engaging scene.

I'm over in Turkey for 3 weeks. Wandering around the village, I came across this scene. What do you think?

A very apt picture for your chosen title. Everyone is completely at ease. And the more you look, the more you see.

I initially thought the tortoiseshell kitty grooming her tummy was some sort of garment draped over the vacant chair. Once attuned to see cats I then saw the other one asleep on the ground next to the man's chair. I hope the man doesn't get up suddenly and push the chair into him! It's also interesting, at least to me, that the two cats just happen to be types that are predominantly of a particular gender: tortoiseshells are almost 100% female and orange kitties are somewhere in the region of 80% male

It also appears that the man has a human companion who has stepped away for the moment, based on the drinkware and device (?) that look like they belong to the tortoiseshell but obviously don't!

There are many interesting vignettes in this picture; better stop here. .

    Nice capture!

    Lynne

p.s. A good image for Sunday Cats!
