    The Weekly Street Photography Thread

Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.
We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

While text accompanying a photo is not required, I think that those of us who didn't take the photo would appreciate at least a bit of info on where it was taken. The photographer of course knows the context. And there are certainly images (such as "Staircase") where it is unimportant. But inquiring minds would like to know where the lady with the fur hat is, at least my inquiring mind is curious about that 😸

p.s. I have no idea why the text editor insists on changing the number in the quoted lines from a 2 to a 1!

When editing, click on the question mark at the top right of the edit box. That tells you the codes the edit window uses. It may be that the numbering of items changes depending on what you quoted when replying to a post

I’m really sorry. I must follow the rules I wrote and posted. It’s not nice otherwise.
I personally tend to post without much information, sometimes not even a title, but at least here I should provide a bit of context.
The main reason for not adding any information is probably that I’m not very disciplined and a bit lazy. But equally, unless there’s a documentary aspect to the photo, the image itself should be enough to make an impact.
The above photo was taken in Tottenham Court Road Station. Although you can see the one on the exit signs and it gives an idea for the location.
