    The Weekly Street Photography Thread

Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.
I’m so sorry for my late start. I worked today and just got back home.
We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

I posted this a couple of hours ago and hadn't realized that the week was about to recommence, so I'll post it again for the current week. I posted the same shot in Street as well as the Weekly C&C groups.

    Halloween Outtake

Every year I take pictures of the grandkids, their cousins and friends moments before they hit the street to gather candy. I always like the ones I take before they're ready more than the ones where their mothers have successfully got them posed. In this out take, only the two Loraxes and the witch were actually ready for their photos.

I also get each kid to describe and pose for an individual scene they imagine for their character, describe it to me, and in the few days after Halloween I cobble each one into a fanciful composite of the scene they described. I guess I could just ask AI to do it for me now, but it is more fun the old fashioned way.

Thanks for the repost! I was busy and started too late. I really like this kind of shot — in trains, between seats, those stolen moments of others!

I was out in Manchester (UK) today showing a colleague what street photography was all about - he was new to it all. Of course, I am no expert, but I know a little bit more than him.

Here's a few that I took while we were wandering around.

Make sure that he posts his photos here :) These two are my picks. The colourful bug and the reflection of its colours on the bin trolley, along with the action moment, make them work for me.

Thanks. I liked the first one for it's humour and the colours. The second one (table tennis) was really hard to get even vaguely right. Between getting the speed high enough and not having too many people in the background and getting some action, I did get one as you can see, But it's not perfect.

I thought you might have liked the one 'behind bars'. What did I not do on that one?

When it comes to children, there is no doubt that it is the best option 👍
