    The Weekly Street Photography Thread

Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.
We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

I could not compose the capture and isolate the subject the way I wanted to. Because of that I edited the capture to bring more attention to the subject.

It's a (to me) strange photo. One one hand, you have an obvious reflection because it's the same train - or at least, I think it is. On the other hand, the lady at the front and the others behind are not reflected.

It certainly made me think and look again. And I like the reduced use of colour.

Alan, there are two separate trains running in opposite directions; there are no reflections there.

Are they homeless or just chilling out?

A perplexing question ..... My original thought was homeless as these hammock have been here for a couple weeks that I've noticed but never looked closely... We've had a hammock here another year but using the usual trees for support ...However, looking closely at these they don't look like something a homeless person might bring to the park and for the first time someone is in them and there is no baggage that a homeless person normally has with him but then not sure why someone would go to this much trouble just to chill out! ..... I'll just leave it to you to make up the story ...

Thanks for stopping by and the question ..

That's what I thought, I hope they were just cool dudes. There are so many homeless people out there, I feel really sorry for them :(

The blurry movement of the trains combines well with the lady's somewhat messy hair to result in a very dynamic scene...

Reflection, light and colours! But I am not sure if the top quarter adds much !

    Thanks for the comment, Kadir.
I decided to keep it because I think it provides a little context without getting in the way too much...

I agree. Though there is not much visible in the upper section, there's enough to provide both context and balance in the image.
