    The Weekly Street Photography Thread

Welcome to the street photography weekly thread.

We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

I was out the other night doing some light trails in the town. The first two are of a bus going by, the second two are a tram.

    Looking at me?

    Looking at me.jpg

There are a long series with this title that I started for C&C a while back but have discontinued as the conversation on these sites is difficult to follow ... So there will be more with this title posted if I continue working from the files while I am not getting out on the street to practice this art ...

I thank you for the thought but think I'd rather enter them here as they pop up in my files ....

I enjoyed your entry and liked the first, would have really liked the second if there had been people standing on the corner but cannot generate a story for the third!

Hola Alan, I especially like the first one in the series, with the trails of light drawing a double curve. And the last one was promising, but, what happened to the top of the tower?

Nice light stars. I suggest an elevated position if you are trying to capture a long light trail to show a path, a leading line, and if possible, you can compose something at the end of this line. Or if you are going to create a street-level light trail, a shorter shutter speed just before the vehicle stops might be better.

Pets and owners can be wonderful subjects. I must say that the post processing is too strong for my taste, but it is just my taste, and it is perfectly safe to ignore it.

Nice shadows here, I don't know but perhaps you can darken shadows further to bring more drama,

Thanks for the responses to my pictures.

I messed up. I wanted the person in front and wasn't looking too closely.

It was impossible unless I took a step ladder with me. The two vehicles were a double decker bus and a tram - and I was at street level. They didn't stop!!!

    Cheers

    Alan
