    The Weekly Street Photography Thread.

We are hoping to get your images and hear what other members think about them.
It is open to all members of the forum; members can post a single image or a selection of images on a theme in a single post. Multiple posts are allowed.
What constitutes street photography has always been debatable. There are several opinions about it, and we do not want to restrict participants. You can post whatever you deem fits into the genre; however, please be prepared to hear criticism as well.

    Guidelines:
    1. We aim to increase the popularity of street photography and encourage our fellow photographers to be more interested in the genre.
    2. Give your photo a title and include any other information you think is relevant. I personally love to know why you made this photo, what attracted you to make it, and why you like it. But this is NOT MANDATORY.
    3. A single image or a theme-based group of images are allowed. No multiple posts, please.
    4. If you post an image, that means you are ready to hear feedback.
    5. We want to hear your thoughts about others’ posts.
    6. Please keep all posts civilised and polite.
    7. Unless specifically stated otherwise by the original poster, please do not modify the images.

This is a nice location probably I will go there and get a better capture later. But this photo is good enough to show its potential. I tried to take photos there, but none of them with an UWA lens. It's a really strong tool. One of my patients kindly gave his lens to try. I found its focal length range very useful.

Yesterday was sunny - a day to get out around the town. Rochdale has murals around the centre and there's even a map showing where they are www.rochdale.gov.uk/downloads/download/1216/common-walls-mural-map - so I thought I'd try and find some. Here's some - more in the next reply.

Really nice, the kind of place where a lens like that truly shines. And an image that must be seen on a screen large enough to appreciate it...

Thanks for the comment ..... always appreciated ..... With Landscape and cityscape I can think composition ... With Street I am thinking story and what is happening in the moment and accept whatever is in the background.. Sometimes one can do something in post -- here I kept the lamp post, as for some reason I like lamp posts!!??? If I straighten the wall the lamp post is leaning ... Generally with Street I don't have time to think beyond what is happening as I generally only have seconds to make the picture . occasionally I can anticipate and wait but even then worrying background is usually not one of the considerations ..

Ah, I didn't spot that. So the wall is meant to be that way. That changes everything for me. it's a fine picture.

Street is more about story, attitude and often just candid photography IMHO.

It's a beautiful scene, and you perfectly captured the exact moment, with the boy eagerly awaiting the frisbee. As for the leveling, it was tricky, because the bench, the lamppost, and the wall are all tilted at different angles 😄

    ¡Hola!
It's just a curious scene, but it's clear that the current context influences how we see and interpret it. Interesting, isn't it?

The backdrop is nicely used. I think you should try with a stronger subject. The spot has potential, it’s quite different from most wall adverts.

There are millions of definitions for what street photography is, and I don't care! If you like it and think it is a street photo, it is a street photo. I constantly see people keep telling others what it is or not SP; their comments are just a full waste of time and space.

I really liked this capture. There is a strong subject and unlike what you expect from a cyclist, she is not riding her bike. Great use of shallow depth of field brings nice subject isolation while the subject is sharply focused with plenty of details. The silver car spoiled the scene, but when you are on the street, you compose what it gives you.
