I love the different 'layers' here - the groups talking to each other, but not interacting across groups. And the one guy looking at you.

Yesterday, I went out for yet another walk with Fujifilm UK - this time to Blackpool (for the non Brit's, it's a seaside town in the NW of England). The challenge to us was "What would Martin Parr have done". Not an easy challenge at all. The weather was lovely, bit there weren't that many people around (it was a Friday). Anyway, here's some images I took. Feedback appreciated.

We'll just have a selfie with Weatherspoons in the background (for those who don't know, that's a pub chain which caters to the lower income bracket)

I am not sufficiently familiar with Martin Parr's work to know whether you have caught his style. There's and awful lot of concrete on the front these days! My concern is with the quality of the lens and the use of 53mm for all shots: this is not a focal length that I have ever found attractive and I find myself wanting a wider angle to prove it's Blackpool. Was the focal length a condition of the trip? Even at f/8 I find the lens lacking in definition. What does "Supersize" mean in the context? No.5 has strong artefacts. Sorry to be so negative -- it doesnt mean that I didnt enjoy looking at your photos!

I had 3 lenses with me. 35mm is 50mm in full frame terms and I like that FL for street stuff. I set out to take pictures which reflect what people get up to at the seaside - and the results are the pictures above. Is it "Martin Parr"? No idea really, but that's the challenge we were given. PS - one picture was taken with my 27mm lens.

Number 5 was a major crop from the original. I am guessing the resize expanded it and didn't do a good job. This is a resize of the full image so you can see how small a bit I was working with.

As for the name - I use Power Toys resize to change the sizes. One of them is set to 4K resolution which I call supersize.

Nobody sitting on deckchairs, or building sandcastles? 😁

I won't take pictures of children and there were no deckchairs. So all I was left with was sun bathing.
