The X100vi is out. Time to get Fujifilm to build us a comparable X-S1 replacement.

So, I just got the release of the X100vi, wow. the specs are wonderful, comes with 1.4 and 2x teleconverters, and a bunch of other cool features.

Time for us fujifilm bridge camera lovers to start emailing them to ask for a new X-S1 model with the same internals as the X100. The RX10 is still selling well, and is priced comparably to the X100. I think Fuji could sell alot of a refreshed X-S1 series of cameras. I know I would buy one.....,or two to have for sure!

can people get on board with this one?

I don't see that happening. Fuji probably have a 10 year roadmap planned out. On the call this morning they mentioned the 90 year aniiversary and touched on the 100 year one (if I remember correctly - it was very early).

I think they will concentrate on advances in the X and GFX series cameras. I don't see them looking at bridge cameras at all. But I could be wrong - convince me.

If enough people make noise, they will. The X10/X-S1 share alot of the same inners. There is a brand new X100 where they could salvage inner workings from it, and put it in a nice compact body with a good zoom. I would pay 2500-3000 for that camera hands down. Weather sealed and available grip for longer shooting times in the back country without carrying extra gear. I am going to be getting that new X100vi for my general shooter asap. But darn, I want an X-S1 replacement. I do alot of back country shooting and just carrying my X-S1 is great. An upgraded version would sell better than the RX10 for sure.

The sensor in the X100vi is the same aps-c sensor as in the X-H2 and X-T5. Your X-S1 had a 2/3" sensor, making for a smaller camera
