    Hi Maoby,
    Nice to see you here.
Do you happen to own all these cameras whose photos you post here (or on the late DPR website)?

    Hi,

You are behind help, my friend. Way beyond! :P

My old tag line said something about digital cameras consuming one's bank account.....

    Bonsoir Marc !
LOL, You're totally screwed, I'm afraid! There is nothing more for you to do. It can't be cured!
But fortunately you are here, to keep the memory of these devices that gave us so much pleasure.
    Best,
    André

    Hi,

I'm so out of this League here. I only gots four....one no longer operational, the E2.

    Nikon E2
    Kodak 520c
    Nikon D1H
    Kodak 760c

A terribly poor showing in this thread!

Well, maybe the E2 still works. No battery or battery eliminator left. No memory card either. They use a very early PCMCIA Flash card. So, no way to know if it works. This one I kept as it has a cracked housing and the shutter button is gone to boot. All the rest of the E series I once had are long gone and the E2 gave up the shutter button to a far more useful E3s way back when.

Oh, and the E series is the size of my Pentax 645D but only 1.3 MP. Ugh.

If I had bought new, digital cameras I own I would have spent the modest sum of $478,300.43 USD

Don't feel bad, i'm also on the low side (compared to Maoby) with only 7

Kodak DCS100 (or whatever you call the thing i'm building)
    Kodak NC2000e
    Fujifilm Finepix S2 Pro
    Kodak DCS 14/n
    Nikon D1x
    Sony A100 (sadly dead)
    Nikon D750

    Hi,

DCS100 works. Once they had popped out a 200, the original had to then be the 100! ;)

And I see a pic of the Medium Format sized E series there. Imagine if that had the 16 MP of the Pro Back at the time. But, sadly, no. For all that size, it isn't even a tenth of that.

And that item on the hot shoe on the E on the left is a video monitor. These had no rear screen, just like the early Kodaks hadn't.

Does anyone know what the first ever DSLR camera was and how much it cost? And what its equivalent cost would be in todays money.

    Kodak DCS 100. About $25K in 1991. About $55K in today's dollars.

Who would have thought how much they'd come down by. What was the megapixels on it? You can probably buy a phone for £50 today that has a better megapixels on it.
