I like the colour in the the first shot. I also like the treatment in the last shot.

Thanks Woodsider. I preferred the monochrome version to the colour version but some others seem not to like flowers in B&W.

WM, it is too bad you lost your flowers with the new patio. We had a flagstone patio ripped out last year and replaced with poured concrete. No more weeds growing up through the stones and much nice to walk on in bare feet. We lost some day lilies from collateral damage so I understand your pain!

Nigel, thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it! The last was a play I tried after seeing a similar treatment by Lou Holland in 'The Wednesday C&C' thread.

I prefer the extra room in the composition of the first shot, I feel the second my benefit from some more sky and therefore place the subject on a third. Great subject matter.

    Was this taken in Crowborough?
Maybe fewer fake birds might have been more convincing :-)

Nah... Rook Wood more like :)

Tell that to the rooks! This was not without risk from judging from the guano strewn grass.

These really give the impression of a rugged windswept coastline. Nice.

Somebody needs to brush up on their Italian. The A at the end of "Barista" tells us that the person serving coffee is female.
