A walk through the "Blühnbachtal" valley

This is in Tenneck, Austria.
I love taking photos of water in wild rivers. This was one of those days.
We went there thinking that there might be more wild water on that day, after a lot of rain in the 2 weeks before, but it was not really more than usual.
Sunny but not too hot, ideal for hiking :-)

Wow - that water looks so clean and pure. What a lovely series but this is my fav. So envious, I'd love a walk along there right now.

Mantua is one of my favourite Italian cities in Northern Italy and not too far from Reggio. I have photographed the main monuments in the past , but the minor monuments are interesting too, and less crowded. Mantua is starting to get more popular and risks becoming overcrowded like some of the more famous Italian "Art" cities. It took quite a bit of patience to get "people free" shots in the Duomo.

The pictures of the Duomo, which lives in the shadow of the more famous S Andrea, is in the Mannerist style, at the junction between the Renaissance and Baroque.
The Gothic Santa Maria del Gradaro was silent and empty. I have photographed it before, but I wanted to redo the Last Supper fresco. Tempio Leon Battista Alberti is typical of Renaissance Mantua.

Shots in the Duomo hand held on a Z7 with 24PC, 24-200 and 14-30 zoom. I used a tripod in Santa Maria del Gradaro and for Tempio Leon Battista Alberti, which I shot with a strange Schneider Kreuznach PC Curtagon 4.0 35mm which I found cheap on Ebay (Scroll up to the top).

Really like this last shot, superb.

A pretty cool building. I remember seeing this complex in Berlin when I was there for work, some years ago.

You know what my only criticism of this shot is.

There are better shots in this series but somehow I kept coming back to this one with its intriguing colours.

I like the hoop straddling the branch in the first but those mossy little hillocks are stunning.

These two are wonderful, and I agree with Wormsmeat the colours of the columns are good too.

Riding with bicycle.

On Friday my battery was bit low so instead of going for training on bicycle I just grabbed my cameras and made easy ride to document my riding path. I left out boring path on asphalt...

Now it gets more interesting with these big holes (depth ca. 0.5 meters), it's quite fun to ride now when it's not rained for weeks, but after rain they will be nuisance. You can see also my old bicycle, left accidentally in frame with this wide-angle shot :P

After getting out of woods and crossing bridge there is narrow path along small river.

Again in woods. Despite being very close to city, 7km/4.5 miles from city center, you do not get such impression, I met only 2 people during 2 hours and only noise you hear is from nature, wind on trees and birds noise. And occassional plane taking off from nearby airfield.

This time it's wood near to lake which is main water source for city.

Just only successful picture of birds I managed to take. I was trying to shoot swallows in one place with opening between bushes but was interrupted by one older guy who came and asked me to leave, as it was in his place and my presence was preventing birds to come for him to see. I was so surprised by his attitude so I said OK and moved couple of hundred meters forward where I got this shot. After a while this person passed me while leaving and we talked little bit, apparently he is visiting this place often and observes birds, he was the one who cut bushes for this purpose and so he felt like he was owning this place. People are strange but mostly harmless :D But he tipped me that during noon eagle (or hawk, as he was not sure and seemed not to be very familiar with bird species) can be seen there so I probably will check it out sometime. But after his leave the swallows have moved further and I got no good picture of them...
