Very nice first shot. I can't tell what that is in the second one.

I thought of that as well at the time but the balance between the top and bottom halves just didn't look right to me and it put the bench seat too low in the frame for my liking.
I like the separation into different sections - looks like a symbolic place between heaven and earth! Well seen and captured!
Beautiful capture and colors 👍 - reminds me of Iceland!
Brescia
No photography this week, it is just too hot to get out and about. I am also rushing to get a backlog of work done before I go on holiday.
So here are some shots of the Rotonda in Brescia, that I wanted to redo, but scaffolding has appeared in the meantime, so shooting was limited, and san Francesco where the cloisters were cluttered with Christmas decorations on my last visit to Brescia. I shot these after a visit to another site that I posted a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you simplejoy 🙂
If truth be told, it was recalling the Lonely Benches thread here that inspired me to "play" with the scene otherwise we might have not stopped and continued walking by.
I'm sure this dog was on something, such manic eyes.
He sure does look manic, but I think it is just the breed that had bred them like that. The floors eye view was a good idea.
Back to the beeginning
No photographic trip this week for me, so just took the macro back in the garden to hunt for bees again.
I kept to the square crop, as recommended by Woodsider and concentrated on bold but still gentle colours.
Tried a few different focussing techniques this time and it seemed to work.I must get out hiking again, or you'll get fed up with my bees ;-)
The 2nd heat wave is coming again this week to most of Europe, including Austria, and my Sister is visiting again, so not sure how successful that idea will be?Using the Z7 + Z105 F/2.8 macro
I like the way you have places the bright red in one corner on these. The vertical moth is quite curios
Sure, the temperature is monstrous down here in Italy too, it is just to hot to even think about venturing out of my air conditioned refuge.
Hi! Haven't had much photography lately, but today morning lost my sleep early (probably due submitting to icecream late evening and having vivid dreams because of carbs consumed) and after rolling an hour in bed decided to go outside. It was good call, found out that bearded reedlings are back in my favorite spot (haven't seen them after couple of weeks of extreme cold in December, 2021 when they probably died, now newcomers occupied this area) and had some other shots as well. Seems like it's time for baby birds who are not very careful yet and provide good shooting opportunities.
I have missed your charming small bird photography. I enjoyed this set.

Good angle.

Very peaceful.

Great colours and close-up.
Our assignment this month for my camera club was telephoto landscapes...
Both excellent, but what if #2 was more level? (It's personal, I reckon )
Winner (imho).
Tonbridge Castle and its conquerer !
Good catch.
