The shots of that and the No. 3 shot of the Estonian national museum are my favourites here

That is a great shot, Chris!
It has a lot going for it. Interesting buildings, gentle colours, good perspective and framing and even the emply space seems full of light !

    British Weather

My wife persuaded me to make a trip to the UK, mainly to see Richard Ashcroft at an outdoors concert near Reading. Of course it rained all day during the concert, but, having VIP tickets at least meant there was a big tent to sit under, so we did not get too wet. I think I have now persuaded my wife outdoor concerts are best avoided. My iPhone died the day before we were due to leave, so I tried out my new one on this trip. Cell phone cameras have come a long way since my iPhone 7.

This concert experienced confirmed all my prejudices and added some new ones, concerning, these huge events. You go to see a video as the performers are pinpricks on a far away stage. The sound was shit awful. The levels of alcohol consumption were on another planet in the zone we were in, and things got a bit nasty as the concert went along as the "Hooray Henrys" and the "Made in Essex" set lost control. And of course we got wet.

We stayed a night in Chiswick, London, where I used to live and where I took my first proper photographs back in 1975. Little has changed at Chiswick house and Strand on the Green. We also ventured into London to go to the Tate Britain where my wife gave me her usual guided tour.

The upside down house is pretty weird. The Museum building looks like an interesting building to explore photographically.

Both shots are good. I'm guessing both were found on the beach.
The first is quite intriguing with that almost perfect round hole in the flat slab. I'm wondering what material the slab is made from and where the hole and the colours came from?
The second,... is that rock perhaps basalt crystals covered in lichen?

Well first of all, extra points for the glass of British beer, I'm quite partial to the good old IPA beers. I tell my Austrian friends how it was developed back in the empire days as a beer able to survive the 6 week long sea journey and supply the British troops in India with good British beer. Lots of hops and lots of alcohol helped to preserve it :-)

My sympathies for having to attend the concert in the rain. I also try and avoid any large gatherings of humans, whatever the attraction might be ;-)
At least you managed to get some nice shots on the trip and the hotel staff look friendly enough ;-)
