    Little Discoveries

Whilst in Battle we decided to aimlessly explore the Romney marsh area. At a certain point we came across a small country church, that for some reason attracted my attention (St Clement's Church Old Romney). So we stopped to take a look. It was open, and inside we found a curious interior with the nave taken up entirely with box pews. It boasted an original medieval timber roof, and the whole atmosphere of the inside was lovely. Frankly I found this little minor monument far more interesting than Battle Abby that we paid through the nose to visit. Derek Jarman, a rebel best known for his "punk" film Jubilee is buried in the quiet little churchyard.

We decided to try and find a fish restaurant in Hastings. Hastings is a typical British seaside resort that has seen better days, But searching for a car park we ended up in the old town, with its strange fishermen's huts.

We took a look at Rye, which was much nicer and quieter than I expected for a well known "pretty town".

Took a walk along the coast from Isle of Whithorn - not an island, at least not nowadays.

I noticed the juxtaposition of the Wellington Statue a bit late and I could not change my position. I should go there again and wait a better composition.

I really likes the bright clear seascape shots, I want to be there. The folded stata is interesting too. Looks like you had a lovely walk.

What a little gem that church is. I love the pink pews. Derek Jarman had a famously unusual garden out on the marshes, within sight of the power station I think. I believe it's still open to the public.
The fishermen's huts are a wonderful subject.
The colour of the churned up chalky sea always fascinates me.
    Great varied and enjoyable set.

A nice picture. It would interest me to see what you removed. The picture you present makes Hyde Park Corner look like the peceful oasis it is not, with all the traffic going around!

Soup city. It's small part of Tartu, which got it's name probably from street names, which are all named after vegetables. And streets are named so because in old times it used to be garden area for city to grow vegetables. Nowadays it's hippie area consisting mostly of old wooden buildings.
