    A nice set.
The lighting and mood of this one is good!

Not sure what those metal things in the foreground are , but they look good against the rocks :-)

And to round things off; some typical works from Woodsider with "evocative splodges of colour" :-)

A real vintage vibe with that processing. I like the bike shot, flawed but has impact.

This is my fav of an enjoyable set. They do have some beautiful beaches up there.

Thanks for taking us with you on the tour ;-)
This one of the tower looks good!

I didn't realise how tall that tower is, in the last shot, until I saw this one. Impressive!

2 and 5 for me. Both have lots to pore over. Wonder where the word Lumbutts comes from?

Similar to Vasur's shot, the processing makes these look older than they are. I like the 2nd, that's some tree.

A wonderful set. I loved all of them. How lucky you are and had this experience. This one has certainly a heavy impact.

ICM are nice and thanks for all information. If you did not post them , I would have never known about the island of Iona.

    Thanks.
Yes, every year the cows are taken out of the stalls and driven back up onto the pastures. Sometimes it's a bit of an event with music playing etc. :-)
Most of the mountain huts are allowed to stay open for visitors, selling local produce, until the cows are taken back down in the autumn, ...before the snow comes.

Tasted it ? Yes, the cheeses are good :-)
A mixed plate called a "Jause" is my favourite, a bit of everything with sourdough bread

    New Camera, Same Old Subjects

I've treated myself to a new (used) camera. So far, I've taken it out for a couple of walks in the local countryside to give it a trial run and see how it stacks up against the Z7.

The first outing was a trip to Brinscall woods around teatime. Here I did some side by side tests with the Z7, although they're not very scientific, but taken on a tripod with approximately equivalent focal length, apertures and base ISO. Just for fun, here's a pair of the side by side shots that I've attempted to match in Capture One, exported to 2048 pixels on the long edge and removed the EXIF. Which is which and what might the mystery camera be?

No idea! Which is to say that your Z7 seems as good to me as the new one... Sorry! It might just be a measure of my ignorance. 😀

I don't recall seeing it before, but I do like it a lot.

These are great. The grainy black and white film stock and high contrast gives them a gritty, but timeless quality.
