You're lucky, I've never seen the polar lights in real life. I always thought it would be good to experience that one day !
My picks from your set above.
I understand that these are from Marrakech? It was hit, but not epicenter, so can't imagine what was it like there.. I'd probably also not be able to photograph in such situation. And this is maybe difference between photographers and amateurs, like me, real photographers can shoot in any condition. I realized this when in ironman competition I saw how one woman went over handlebars before finishing bicycle stage and I was just looking and hoping that she was ok instead of shooting. Fortunately she was able to stand up and go on, just bloody chin which was patched by medicals (though I didn't saw her on running distance, maybe she decided to cancel).
I could recognize only some of chess pieces, they probably use old notation.. Seems like in one mosaic unicorn is shown. Fight scene is also quite interesting.
Actually you don't need to pimp it very much thanks to sensor colour sensitivity. Here is image directly converted from RAW, it's colourful enough. In my processing I just tuned WB to more neutral (as original has quite red cast, probably from city lights reflecting from clouds), adjusted levels and contrast.
This is my pick. Such shots seem to be matter of luck with correct shutter speed, I have tried to capture ghosts but nothing to show so far, it's either too slow or too fast shutter speed ruining shot.
