That baptistry is just so pretty. And captured in nice golden light.

That's an intriguing shot, I like it.
Good luck taking a better photo for the rest of your life. Glorious, simply glorious.
And now for something completely different... birds!
The penultimate shot is so cute.
Been on a little bit of a roll this week. It's that time of the year, weathers getting warmer, more people getting out & about
Something about the light in the second makes it a winner.
Firedancer, took this shot yesterday with my friend's Q3 in Southbank
There's a few of these around lately. I like the light on her and I like the shot but I think you may have dragged down the flames a little too much.
The Impenetrable Barrier
Sunset Over Heapey Moor
These are my two picks, 9 is nice too.
1907 - former rail station in Goderich , Ontario transformed to become a restaurant facing Lake Huron.
I really like the dark black wood in this.
A good one.
Sunset at Brinscall Woods
Earlier in the week I took an evening walk into the nearby woods in Brinscall. My intention was to have a wander around some of the old farm ruins that may be found there, then head up to a specific spot overlooking Heapey Moor for sunset if conditions were looking good, but first, I foolishly decided to have a quick look around Hatch Brook to see if there were any interesting tree studies to be found.
These are all taken with the GFX100S and 35-70, mounted on a tripod and rocking a CPL to reduce glare on the foliage (the sunset shots were taken without the CPL). All processed from single raw files in Capture One Pro 23.
always enjoy your posts and explanations.

You have nicely caught the age of this place.
The forecast for Great Mell Fell today was fog, all the way through the morning and into the afternoon. So I drive the 80 miles up to The Lakes for a day of moody woodland photography and then this is how it turns out. Complete disaster!
I've still managed to take about 200 shots with the GFX (so that's another 25GB of my NAS gone!) so I've yet to go through them properly, so these are just a few promising looking images that I've had a quick play with. I'm sure there'll be more to follow when I've had some proper time to go through them (there are plenty of woodland ones too, that might not have been ruined by the harsh sunlight).
A beautiful vibe.

The first is epic.
Yes, the GFX is about as far-removed from a street photography camera as possible, where one takes hundreds of frames. I guess you'd have to be fastidious about cleaning out the junk.

The second one has great lighting. In the foreground you have the nice contrast, with the sunlight on the branches, and the haze slowly increases into the distance giving a good feeling of depth.
Hope no one comes along and cuts down that tree in number 3 !
