Looks like you had a good time here. Thanks for sharing.
My favourites are picked out above.
@Ghundred has written:Excellent shot with the shadows! Could perhaps benefit from adding a bit more contrast.
Great shot and I loved it precisely because there wasn't much contrast :). Interesting how differently we see things. Very painterly
And now for something completely different... birds!
I have been missing your birds. Nice to see the reedlings again.
Sunset at Brinscall Woods
6. The Impenetrable Barrier
10. Afterglow
These are the ones that catch my eye.
Return To Great Mell Fell - A Preview
This one for me.
A Memory
I still can't understand this, sad :(
Sunset at Brinscall Woods
5. Exit Through The Gift Shop
The gift in this case being those tree roots on the far side of the brook.
10. Afterglow
Roughly the same scene as #8, but taken 15 minutes later and five minutes after the sun had actually set. Personally I prefer the other shot and its sense of tranquility, but think this has its own particular charm.
These are my picks , another beautiful set.
1907 - former rail station in Goderich , Ontario transformed to become a restaurant facing Lake Huron.
Very nice interiors.
Great use of shadows, I am wondering its BW now!
And now for something completely different... birds!
This is the prettiest, very nice colours and sharpness.
Sunset at Brinscall Woods
Earlier in the week I took an evening walk into the nearby woods in Brinscall. My intention was to have a wander around some of the old farm ruins that may be found there, then head up to a specific spot overlooking Heapey Moor for sunset if conditions were looking good, but first, I foolishly decided to have a quick look around Hatch Brook to see if there were any interesting tree studies to be found.
These are all taken with the GFX100S and 35-70, mounted on a tripod and rocking a CPL to reduce glare on the foliage (the sunset shots were taken without the CPL). All processed from single raw files in Capture One Pro 23.

The gift in this case being those tree roots on the far side of the brook.
8. Sunset Over Heapey Moor
I took a number of shots at this spot, mostly with a featureless sky. So I was quite lucky for the single large cloud to drift into the shot as it did. This is a single shot taken at base ISO from a 3 shot exposure bracket and is exposed to retain the highlights on the right with a little extra space on the histogram to ensure they weren't clipped and so the bulk of this image has been recovered from some inky black shadows, it's remarkably noise free all things considered. What's less impressive is the sharpness. I have a similar shot taken from the same spot last year on the Z7 that shows way more detail when you zoom into it, despite having half the number of pixels to play with. This may be due to limitations in the 35-70 lens used here compared to the 24-70 f/2.8S used in the Nikon shot which is an exceptional lens, differences in atmospheric conditions or even shutter shock on the tripod (I shoot the Nikon using ES, but have been using EFCS on the Fuji). Further comparison is needed, but that niggle aside I'm very happy with this image, it's still full of detail, just not as sharp as I'd expected.
Another great set of scenery, these are my picks. It was tough to pick these, you don't make our life easy :D
Wow - just wonderful! Love how you captured that incredible colors!
Really creative and interesting - like it a lot and great to see your experimentation is so sucessful already!
Created these two shots for a theme called "Bread the rules"
