I never really considered the phone camera sa something serious. It was OK to shoot stuff on site, take a picture of the gas meter of print cartridge to have a visual reminder of the numbers.
But my new iPhone 14 with 3 lenses is a pretty good picture taking machine. Yes, it does a lot of PP behind the scenes, but the longer lenses make it good for family snaps, and those casual shots of places you visit.
I am very tempted to do a street photography project with it, just to see how much I can get out of it.
Some street stuff from new camera. I finally bought a Q2. I know it is not completely rational but I did it, I have always wanted one. A mint second hand traveller's kit (a spare battery and Leica leather wrapping cloth) with more than a year's warranty. I paid £3200. When I consider I sold my X100V for £1450, it is reasonably "expensive" :) The noise is an issue for high ISOs but noise reduction works much better than mFT files.
Wow, get you with your fancy Leica! They are beautiful things. And if they inspire you to get out and take pics and give you a warm feeling then they're worth it. Especially if you can take shots like the last one. It's sensational.
I have previously faffed around with that TBH and was torn between cropping some off the left or leaving it alone to make the left seem more like a murky abyss. You may be right.
