Renaissance Parma
I went to Parma to photograph some of the Renaissance architecture in this small city. Parma has always been one of my favourite Italian cities, it has an almost endless amount of interesting monuments to see.
First off the Basilica, Santa Maria della Steccata, a cross shaped church with sumptuous decoration inside, by Parmigianino and others. It can get a bit crowded, so I got there early at opening time to get some crowd free views.
Next ,San Giovanni Evangelista, behind the much more famous Cathedral, again with a lot of decoration, with the cupola painted by Coreggio. It was my first visit to this place, and I plan to make another visit as thre are things I missed.
Lastly, the imposing Wedding cake style, Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata, which I photographed only externally, as they are restoring the interior.
I mostly used my 15mm Laowa shift and the Nikon 24PC for these pictures. I used my monopod with feet for these pictures. These are mostly 3 frame HDR combinations
