Nice but I'd crop the black bar at the top.

The first shot is a nice introduction to the artwork. I like the cow with wings in the third shot, and the lady is pretty cool too.

It is quite common in Italy that buildings are left like this when the cash runs out. Our Cathedral in town has a similar unfinished façade. On the façade of San Petronio, the biggest and most famous church in Bologna, they got a little further with the façade.

I was called into a meeting this week to decide how we could lop off nearly all the steelwork that was my minor part of a major project. Our towns new maternity hospital has a 30 million shortfall thanks to increased material prices. It will be built cladded and basically left as an empty shell until sometime in the distant future funds are found. Italy has a long tradition of what we call "Cathedrals in the Desert". Of course with elections coming up, the council is keeping very quite.

Yes, it seems building material prices have gone through the err, roof.

Not sure about this one. Did you try focusing on the scene rather than whatever the 'filter' is?

No. When I focus on the scene, everything gets blurry and smudgy. Focusing on the effect is how it produces the effect.

Sorry for not participating as much as I want to. I hope this will change :)
Seagulls follow passenger boats from one continent to other. I guess simit (kind of Turkish bagel/bread covered with sesame) bites thrown by passengers are kind of a motive for them but I think they enjoy it immensely too. If you look carefully, you can see the bite between the beaks of the bird.

    Nice photo,
Maybe it’s fun, but maybe it’s because they are lazy 😉 or putting it a different way,… maybe they enjoy using efficient methods with less effort for flying.
I'm thinking here about a bird formation, for example, where the migrating birds fly in a long “V” form. Each one gets a bit of uplift from the eddy currents from the bird in front. They (have to) take it in turns to do the hard work of being the front man.
When following a boat , maybe they can find such uplifting drafts from the boat and catch an easy ride for free?

I really love this! Excellent composition - I wonder how many did you take to hit this one? 😁
I've done that ferry trip once, but was looking the other way 😉
