From the bent rod seems like he has catch and tries to pull it out? Maybe there was no room elsewhere to do this?

Agreement between municipal, provincial and federal governments resulted in creation of a massive $1.5 B flood control project where Don river meets Lake Ontario. In order to facilitate grand landscape development 3 sets of bridges were constructed. Designed in UK, engineered in Germany, manufactured in Holland, assembled in Nova Scotia and brought on barges to Toronto for final installation. There is still a lot of construction around, but bridges are open to vehicular traffic, walkers, runners and bikers. I could have spent hours there, but I think return trip in better weather is a must.
I like those organic lines, looks much better than squares and triangles...

Six years ago on a sunny afternoon, tried some fun experiments and got these colourful results....while my daughter poured different coloured paints into water, I fired multiple shots into the aquarium, with flashlight coming from the side
Used a nice dark background and some techniques to reduce the unwanted reflections.
Just a little contrast and some tone adjustments added afterwards in pp.It's amazing what intricate patterns you can get, with all that paint swirling around in the water.
...But you have to be quick,... it doesn't take long before entropy takes over and turns this all into one dull uniform, and rather boring, colour.I've posted these before, but maybe it's worth another look in this new forum :-)
These are great fun, although the first looks like an atomic bomb has just dropped.
Thanks,
... to get that atomic bomb effect, I just turned the first image upside down :-)
As I looked through these pictures I got a real sense of the water bobbing up and down. Almost felt a bit seasick.
Yes, the waves were quite big and I had to stay on higher ground to not get my feet wet. But event there it was hard to keep focus on birds, as half of time they were hidden behind waves.
In the Pink
Almond blossom
I like the traditional one out of these. Although this was on the list of banned subjects at one time ;-)

The last one for me too. Blossom close ups are irresistible.
