    Riding Off into the Sunset.jpg

The third of my attempts to capture something while crouching in agony by a little puddle in Thailand. I have since bought a Smallrig Mini Tripod Tabletop Tripod with 360° Ball Head. Cheap and solid a as a rock.

No, never had the tripod then. I was just out for a quick stroll with my camera, saw the puddle and squatted there, holding it manually, close to the floor, trying to avoid it getting wet. My knees took a while to recover. I did set up the Sony app once, need to revisit using it but it doesn't get great reviews.

    Terracotta Drama

Just got home from an unexpected stay in hospital. I went for a deeper screening exam, and a few hours later I was in the operating theatre for something completely different that they picked up. We have a very good health service here in Northern Italy. So I will not be doing any photography for a while.

Here is some stuff from my last visit to Bologna with a sculptured group in terracotta depicting the Compianto su Cristo morto ("Lament over the Dead Christ"), by Alfonso Lombardi, of the early 16th century. The group can be found in the Cathedral, which is not the more more famous San Petronio. I like the way the figures change when you photograph them from different angles.

This is just wonderful, I like the way the tree divides the picture in two halves and the horizon divides the picture again into four segments, against all those musty rule of composition.

As Daneland says, you can use your phone as a trigger

What I read from others' forum posts, most mobile apps are really poor. Actually, I am happy with Panasonic app, Leica app refused to connect last time I tried but I was generally good.

I am sincerely sorry to read your health issues, I hope you get better swiftly.

PS:You can only get that sort of speed here if you are a king. The NHS is falling apart and people accept this, unbelievable!

I like your market scene with mannequin heads and humans all in one capture. Typical shot, but different.
