Which do you prefer? I nearly always go mono for street pics but I quite like the colour version.

A quick hike up to Gmundnerberg
It wasn't exactly fog down there, but was a bit more than just haze hanging over the Traunsee lake,...

    "Musical Hands"

I have not been able to get out to do any photography, so here are a couple more from part of my archives that resurfaced recently.

I can post process in C1 in a way that was impossible in the darkroom.

    Galloway hills.

Went for a walk up into the local hills this week.

There are many waterfalls, many of them called Grey Mare's Tail 😁

The view from the highest point of our walk gives a fine view over the hills. You can just make out the top of Merrick peeping over the foreground hills right in the centre (843m, higherst point in southern Scotland).

The branches and twigs of alder and birch were glowing in the sunshine (with a little extra help 😉)

Excellent catch. The dramatic composition with lots of negative space matches the emotion so well.

All 3 are amazing and the scenery is outstanding.

I will go for the B&W version as I believe colour adds nothing in this case, or maybe even detracts from the directness of the shot.

But nice to be out of the damp air down by the lake.

Looks like a wonderful place to walk.

I like the effect in the penultimate shot, has it been softened in post?

I'm usually not a fan of photo collages... but because it was a recent theme in one of the weekly flickr groups I'm participating in, I made two:

What if the ordinary is already exceptional?

Both are from recent walks, where I had my camera with me. It's incredible to me how much there's to see (and shoot), if you're able to keep your eyes open. I've not been able to during most walks in the last couple of years, due to having my (small) kids with me... Now that they're a bit older, it opens new possibilities and I'm starting to enjoy that.
