    Traces

Time to get out and do some photography again. Maybe the start of a new exercise, to try and make interesting pictures of seemingly boring places. I discovered that the anonymous dry drainage canal that runs near to where I live, dates from 1200 and was part of a 30 kilometre canal that brought water into the city from a quite distant river. It crosses over and even under several minor torrents along the way.

A couple of preliminary shots taken where the canal dissapears under the urban landscape.

Glad to see you're getting out with the camera again :-)

Soap bubbles are magic for children and you have certainly captured the precious moment.

I went exploring to see how far I could follow the river bank. Quite a way as it turns out. En route I came across hundreds of daffodils and an otter latrine!

This works really well, it looks intentional, which is important I feel.

That's a nice composition. Still get a sense of the majesty behind.

I rather like this one. I was going to comment that it's a shame that the top left corner is cut off but realised that only occurs when the image is clicked and enlarged.

What a lovely shot. Perhaps it could do with a crop to remove the river and the pole on the right. The girls expression is perfect.

This is real good with the view of the girl and bubbles taken through one of the bubbles. So it's the world as seen by that bubble before it pops and disappears for ever.

    Testing new lens...

New 150-600 lens sat in my apartment for a week as bad weather and lack of time did not permit me to take it out. Week of doubts: is it good enough? Will I be able to carry it? How does it handle? Ugh..
Today afternoon sky cleared a bit and I took walk around bird sanctuary.

For following I was not prepared and shutter speed was too low so images are quite blur due to action and setting sun being behind trees.
