    A new kitchen window
My son has a flat in Vienna where the kitchen has no window ☹
With a print from one of our hikes, fixed behind an old wooden frame, at least it now looks like he has a window 😊
This image below is a very quickly made mock-up, made before we bought the old frame to show roughly what it would look like.
The finished result, now on the wall, looks more or less identical.

A big blue sky with clouds receding right into the distance. The piers all pointing outwards too. Seems to be telling us to get out there into the sea
... just need to wait a few hours before the tide comes back in, then we can jump into that red boat for a spot of fishing.
I guess we can go to the local pub in the meantime :-)

What, he just has a big hole, open to the elements? A fun project though.

A frog he would a-wooing go

It was a lovely day on Sunday, and my first good walk after my recent operation. I went to a local nature reserve called the "Fontanili di Valli Re" a particular place in the Po Valley plain where subterranean water flowing down from the mountains, rises to the surface, due to clay deposits. It is one of my favourite places to take a quite walk emersed in nature.

It is a very wild sort of place, unknown to most people in our area. The frogs, were in full mating song, and I made a heavily cropped image of a frog in full croaking mode ( I only had my 24-200,14-35 and the little 50mm macro with me). These are edible frogs, that are still to be found on some restaurant menues in the Po Valley.

These are lovely but doesn't Steve own the copyright on this sort of shot?

Wow, very unspoilt. These are really cool shots. I felt like a unwelcome voyeur just looking at them from here.
    That frog is amazing.
Dammit, I've got a frog shot in hand and I'm going to post it next week now.
BTW, are those telegraph poles leaning to allow laden tractors through?

Some birds from last weekend. As a curse sunny days are business days, on weekends it's cloudy and rainy. Or snowy. So not much good light. But soon sun will rise early enough so I might be able to get couple of hours outside with camera before my work starts.

    Robin, or maybe two

No they disused and are just collapsing into the ditch.

That new Nikon 28-400 is tempting for these sort of walks as wildlife is always to far away with my 200.
