An interesting jumble of shapes. I like the way the rendering on the larger shot of the white wall lends a textured, almost painted look to its smaller counterpart.

Nice contrast of the vivid green against the dull rust. Does a single exposure of this scene work? (assuming you have them as separate shots)

This one looks like the kind of composition you might not see unless you were framing it up it in black and white as we were discussing a few weeks ago.

Yes indeed, I had the picture control set to "monochrome" on that day.
It does help, thanks again for the tip :-)

Yes, the single exposure also works well, I think. In fact, I'm not sure which I prefer.

From memory, the best shot you have posted.

I kind of wish that the first was a trompe l'oeil, painted on the side of the building. Nevertheless this is a really successful double exposure.
I don't think the second needs a double exposure though.

Love it, I feel it is about to turn and attack the boy.

Really enjoyed these. I don't remember the Belfast being that colour scheme though. But iirc it had a renovation recently.
It's a landmark that one sees so often that it almost becomes invisible. Easy (but unforgivable) to forget some of the terrifying situations people endured aboard.

Looks like some art project? Very intriguing indeed... And I like tonality of this scene.

Love your images, look almost like paintings, great colour pallette and scenes. Only thing I'd like to see is bit more sky in some shots, right now it's just glimpse of it.

Thanks for such detailed comments, I'm not good in writing down my thoughts about photos, you did it very well. In some shots, such as last 2 quoted, I lost some pixels when correcting horizon as they were made from boat and it was hard to get level shots in rocking boat, so keystoning correction would be hard as there is not enough space for cropping after correction. But I have other shots of same rock, so maybe I can work with these. I have just preliminary processed my shots, as you might imagine, I have made thousands of shots (more on that later, next week) and they need some time to process properly and settle.

Now that shot made me look more than once to understand what's going on. Great one!

There wasn't a lot of opportunity for interesting sky content due to the topography of the walk. The route went up a steep sided valley on the way to the tarn and the return route was just the same route in reverse. Beyond the tarn, crags rose up to Mardale Ill Bell, the summit of which is not visible from the tarn. Similarly, looking down the valley, if I wanted to include foreground detail, it didn't leave a lot of scope to include much sky.

Not that there was much to look at in the sky anyway, it was grey and overcast throughout the walk.

This variant of the first picture in the original post sacrifices some of the foreground for a bit more sky. I debated for some time which of these to include and went with the one showing more of the yellow flowers at the bottom (that one also had a walker on the horizon silhouetted against the lake, but I don't know if anyone spotted that).

This gives you some idea of the route and what was surrounding it.

Definitely an interesting photo. I am trying to figure out what the art work is. The man's posture gives an impression of he was sick and trying to vomit.

Yes, your attempt is not as good as the original. I think there was a better light and a bit better composition.

Riggindale is the best of this set, it is very nice. I liked the overhanging tree too.
