It is actually near Hartpury Mill, as Google Maps tells me that Hartpury is pretty vast. We saw a ancient monument road sign and had time to kill, so it was an accidental discovery.

Spring has come early and the dragonflies have appeared from nowhere.
I cannot imagine myself having the patience to do this sort of photography. M32 with a 400 lens really shines for this sort of thing.

Still much too hot to think about doing any photography here.
Near to where we were staying in Newent, on my recent holiday in the UK, I came across this Tithe barn in a hamlet called Hartpury. It is in a bit of a sorry state. The Bee shelter in the churchyard was pretty cool.
Nice series.
I like that lion !
Did they used to place many wicker baskets containing the beehives in that building in the last shot?
There is a stone wicker basket. But I think this was more ornamental than anything.

Sounds good, I'll have to try it. Where can I buy an m32 camera? 😆

Nice idea, to find a spot where the railway seems to spout out from the high rises.
Penkiln
The Penkiln Burn has been in spate this week, though subsiding now - at least for the time being.
I rather like the second, a peek into a hidden world.

Cool. They really look like military helicopters.
Humans above humans.
Again, clearing the clutter from my outbox and these seemed to have something in common.
As usual, interesting shots. They become a series when you read your title.
I wonder what the "puddle shot" would look like if the person were to look down into the puddle, as if she could see her own reflection ?

In the other "Wednesday C&C" thread I said I might prefer a version of this shot where some of the right hand side was cropped off, seeing it again, I think I now prefer your original :-)

A daily walk takes us over this bridge and past the old mill. The recent stormy weather saw the water level almost up to the lower windows, with the old wheelroom a metre deep in water. Huge boulders have appeared and disappeared, along with tree trunks that have been stuck for years now gone without trace.
The first here is nicely framed and the second here shows some good flowing motion with your chosen Shutter speed.
We've also had some of that prolonged rain followed by high water, here in Austria too.
Noticed it again last week in the little streams that we saw in the walk down from Schneeberg. There were 3 places where a tiny, usually dried up, stream sometimes trickles over and crosses a "road". This time there were were big diggers trying to rebuild the road after it had been almost washed away with wild torrents from that little stream. They were in fact making a wall out of big bolders on the lower side so that it will be more protected next time.
We are living in the time of climate change and the promised bad effects are already here!
It's not surprising, when you consider that for every increase of 1 degree C, the air can hold 7% more moisture, and all that extra water can come down as heavy rain. Especially bad when, by chance, it all happens to come down concentrated on some unfortuante local area :-(

This one is my pick.

An interesting theme. This is my favourite.

It is too much wet here to think about photography here. I guess there is not no middle ground :)

I never heard Tithe or Tithe Barn before, I am glad to say I had to google it and I learnt something new today
Some wonderful timber trusses. They are wonderful
A nice house for little things .
Enchanted
On tuesday we had independence day and on this ocassion The Krypt was open with some crazy bands performing. In addition there were german students with their cameras making student film. I lurked there with my camera as well....
It needs to be seen full screen to appreciate it fully.
Fluffy clouds on the top of Schneeberg
Maybe you already saw the photos I posted here this week in the Wednesday C&C thread. Here’s some more from that trip.
We, rode up in the “Karbachalm” cable car in Mühlbach, Austria, then hiked on up to about 350m higher to the double summit of the Schneeberg mountain ( at 1938m above sea level).
Then walked all the way down to the Dienten saddle where we’d parked a second car.
Not too hot, a great day for hiking and it didn’t rain until we got back to the car. Well it did rain once, but we were sitting in a mountain hut at that time enjoying the local products and a good beer, so really lucky 😊These are the views on that day from the top looking over to the Hochkönig mountain range.
The clouds looked nice; big, white and fluffy.
My favourite shot is the first with the photogenic B&W cows sitting down taking a rest, chewing the cud or perhaps just enjoying the viewThe many paths up in the mountains here are all well signposted
What a view!
I can't get my head around the signs I am afraid.
@Daneland has written:A slice of Turkish life.
A glimpse into Turkish life reveals a workplace that reflects the country’s unique character, passions, and heritage. President Erdogan’s influence is evident, not only as a dominant figure in the space but also as a key shaper of Turkey’s modern history—a legacy that may last well beyond his time. The Turkish flag stands as the most powerful symbol of national pride.
Football reigns as the most beloved sport in the country, while tea is the drink of choice, with Turkey leading the world in tea consumption by a significant margin. An old-fashioned TV plays a popular reality show that solves murder cases live, capturing the attention of many viewers.
The beauty of Istanbul, the country’s crown jewel, is represented by the iconic Suleymaniye Mosque. The workplace also features a musical instrument and a sign of a local musician, hinting at the rich cultural life that thrives in Turkey.
(I asked ChatGPT to edit my text , I loved it 😎 )
A really nice idea to match an interesting picture. What do they actually do in this place?
I have no clue what they do there. It is not a shop, office or business place. There are rudimentary equipments for cooking and a fridge ( I don't think that it is for beer!) I guess some pensioners wanted to have a place for themselves.

Plenty of lines. A nice composition. I wonder how it will look in the winter with plenty of snow.
