    Barnacles

Have been rather preoccupied with other priorites this week, so here are a couple from my Orkney trip back in the 'summer'.

Referencing the man in a house - how strange. Where is that?

    PS - I love the stark B&W.

Weird. The processing adds hugely to the effect. I wonder what it's like at night...

This is along the Bay Of Fires coastline stretching about 50kms along the Tasmanian north-east coast line.

The Bay Of Fires is known for its clear waters, white sandy beaches and orangish lichen coated boulders.

I'm not sure what the pelican was looking out for.

It’s a really bold processing, but I’m not sure if the others helped or if they connected well with the composition or subject.

I hope you are well and your other priorities are just trivial. I like the colours and textures of the first one very much.

It's an amazing image and to be honest, it has me stumped because I am not sure what to make of it. Very unusual. 😏

I like the first one much more even though the lighting is flat and dull. The second one imo needs some "punch" added to it to generate some interest. Hopefully you have some shots of the wreck from different angles that might work better.

Sharon Temple built 1832 has a long running annual tradition to illuminate the site on the first Friday of September to celebrate the "harvest" among the community with music (choir) and the "feast" of local produce etc.

    Sturnus vulgaris
4 weeks ago I went to bird area, but is was relatively quiet. Until I reached to top of peninsula and heard noise from hundreds, if not thousands, birds. Starlings were gathering for their migration by loading their stomaches up and practiced group flying. Unfortunately I had only tele lens with me so I could not frame whole flock, just later I realized that I could have done it with my phone, but that realization came after I've left the area...

This is a very nice scene and I'm glad you blacked out the screen compared to the version you posted in the other thread. Blacking out the screen is a great idea and is certainly much better than the overexposed screen in the other thread.

But the overall noisiness of the building is still way too much for me. As I suggested in the other thread hopefully you will try ETTR the next time a similarly lit scene presents itself.

I think your image would also benefit significantly if you straightened it - make the vertical lines vertical.
