Sharon Temple built 1832 has a long running annual tradition to illuminate the site on the first Friday of September to celebrate the "harvest" among the community with music (choir) and the "feast" of local produce etc.

Reminds me of a wedding cake, for some reason- The different interior lighting levels adds interest

I'm not sure what the pelican was looking out for.

I like the angle of his head but wish the pelican was on a third and facing into the space on the right. Just being picky, it's a nice shot and the pelican works well as a focal point.

It’s a really bold processing, but I’m not sure if the others helped or if they connected well with the composition or subject.

I like them there. I waited ages to get some human context. And then even longer to get them splitting the shadow.

It kind of looks like a temporary structure. I like the differing lights and sense of evening here but I'll mention the non-vertical verticals before Nigel sees it. I'm much kinder than him.

Great set, they have a vintage feel to them. I'd have just put 1, 3 and 5 in one post, they seem to share something wheras 2 and 4 seem more modern.

4 weeks ago I went to bird area, but is was relatively quiet. Until I reached to top of peninsula and heard noise from hundreds, if not thousands, birds. Starlings were gathering for their migration by loading their stomaches up and practiced group flying. Unfortunately I had only tele lens with me so I could not frame whole flock, just later I realized that I could have done it with my phone, but that realization came after I've left the area...

Pretty amazing to see these birds stuffing themselves. We see a lot less of these birds these days.

Wow Vahur, this is stunning and easily your best shot for some while IHMO. It reminds me of a Henri Rousseau painting.

I hope you are well and your other priorities are just trivial. I like the colours and textures of the first one very much.

Thanks, not trivial but not negative 😃

This is good and unusual, when seen big. Those vertical poles seem out of place in the middle of a decaying boat.

Interesting building - looks like an enormous lantern, or a wedding cake. Would be better straightened though 😉
