    I think the least Autumnal shot in this set is the nicest.

    I find Autumn colours, have a very brief window of opportunity. It usually rains during this window.

    Black Loch

    An afternoon walk on a sunny afternoon, hoping to see some autumn colour.

    Nearby there is 'red deer lookout' where I hoped to spot some of the locals in the distance. It turns out no sophisticated stalking technique is required.

    On a much smaller scale it is a similar effect to the way the sun casts shadows on the lunar surface to give it and its craters more contrast and a sense of depth in non full moon phases.

    Lovely "impressionist painter" type of colours in those reflections. The second one here is my favourite.
    The third is interesting. Is it one of your double exposures ?
