Very nice! Love the light. Is this a pano?

Both very nice although the second one has an odd orange haze behind the tree.
Nice perspective.
Very good work. The tree in the water and the tree corridor stand out to me.
That's pretty cool. Do we need the bit of red at the bottom? Those sort of crop decisions drive me mad.
It's a straight shot but with dramatic processing.
Return To Rivington
After last week's visit to Lever Castle with the OM-1, I went back the next day with the Z8. The light was still awful, but I managed to get a handful of okay shots in spite of this.
All images taken handheld with the Nikon Z8 + 24-70 f/2.8S and a CPL. Processed from individual raw files in Capture One Pro 23.
On The Shores of Lower Rivington Reservoir
Release The Kraken
...I turned to see this terrifying apparition looming out of the water.
Easily my fav.

Last night this scene caught my eye from the kitchen window as I started cooking dinner, so out into the garden... There are some characterful Scots pines on the field boundary beyond. The moon appeared just briefly through the fog, which resulted in interesting halo effects.
Both taken with the old 'plastic fantastic' and run through Lightroom's denoise.A terrifically moody pair of images. I love the subtle tones you've captured here. What lens is the plastic fantastic? Would that be the old Oly 75-300?
Usually refers to the cheapo 40-150 f/4-5.6
Photos I took during 2024 and just got around to processing recently.
The third is a dramatic picture but, like the first, it's a little blurred. Would have been nice to see the exif.
Nice colours in the first but I prefer the third's gloomy palette.

the next day, a little more sun and a lone skier has made the beautiful curvy ski track all the way down
The sun starts to come out and drive the mist away.
Snow shoe walking is really easy, just as long as you remember to never take a step backwards 😉
It’s nearly Christmas time so a visit up to the (from Wormsmeat dubbed) “Christmas Pudding” was a must.
This time with a little sunstar and subtle rainbow effects in the clouds (best viewed large to see the snowflakes in the air)
Fabulous seasonal set. The 'Christmas Pudding' shot is wonderful.
All super! I like ISO 64; but the grey skies at this end of the country dont encourage its selection. Perhaps we need to move...
Dasvid
Crappy weather
Nice snow falling down when I went out was turned into treacherously slippery slush 6 hours later. Crap...
Some nice lines and diagonals in this shot.
I see a nice semi abstract with the background cropped out.
A typical "Noir" Wormsmeat shot, that has made a modern office block look creepy.
Yet another trip into the winterwonderland
The same place can look a bit different on every trip!
My sister came to visit me, so a trip into the mountains, to show off their new coat of snow, and enjoy the "winter wonderland feeling" was of course on the agenda. We had some foggy days and then the sun came out for a while too :-)
We have had our first snow too. You have had lots I see. This set makes me want to get up into the mountains.
I really like the shot with the walker coming out of the clearing mist.
This has to be seen big, to enjoy all that detail.

Here is the straight out of camera RAW. Where do you see blur? It was taken on a tripod and I re-examined with zoom and couldn't fine any.
EDIT: I still don't see the exif. How do you show it in this new forum?
EDIT: Perhaps the blur you are seeing is in the sky because of the 3-bracket HDR merge?
EDIT EDIT EDIT: The third is a long exposure taken on a tripod so that may be what you are seeing in the waves?
At least one image from you, which does not [need to] use perspective correction :) My favourite!

This entire area is blurry.
Is it because of narrow DOF? Mist? I don't know but it seems we need more of the pier in focus.
