This apparent catapult is actually a guard rail around a drop to the sea.

The same place exactly one year on

Starting with Dec 2023 at Stegmoosalm

    DSC_2187 smaller.JPG

This is the bench at the bottom of the "Christmas pudding" rock. The swirling wind curves out a deep "trench" in the snow around the perimeter of the rock
    DSC_2225 smaller.JPG

The fence here seems to be asking for a simplified almost B&W treatment.
The only little splashes of colour are from the bokeh of the bright snow cystals.

One year later in December 2024
it's looking very similar, but it's those little changes that make it interesting to go back and visit again ,... and again :-)

    On the way up

The "Christmas pudding" (again) this time from the side, in 16x9 format, enjoying the sunshine with the misty mounatins in the background

and to finish off, the distant rumblings of a little avalanche

All photos I've posted before, but perhaps interesting to compare

    That's an impressive catapult!
After Brexit, the coastal defences needed to be reconsidered ;-)

    Christmas story, illustrated

Once upon time lived bad Santa: he did not pay workers for overtime and gave them cookies only if they agreed to his terms and conditions.
    1.jpg

    This made workers sad
    2.jpg

They had meeting where they decided what to do
    3.jpg

FInally they decided to ask Santa to become good Santa

And Santa promised to become good

Everybody was happy ever after and they had big party

I added in some photos to your new thread :-)

    Nice set !!
The snow is doing it's usual transformational job :-)
    That's a really pretty area.
My favourite is number 4 with the line of orange autumn coloured trees in the foreground and the sunlit group of buildings nestled into the middle of the picture

You've found some striking colours for these shots and red does seem to be popular at Xmas time, so good timing :-)

Yes, interesting to compare. The snow always falls differently with just the slightest change in weather conditions.
