    San Francesco Bologna

No photography at the moment as I am still in convalescence and cannot drive. So it is some pictures I made in San Francesco, Bologna on my last visit, where I made some pictures with the 15mm Zero Shift. The 15mm maybe gives a better sense of space than the 24mm. A shot of the, flying buttresses unique for Gothic buildings in Italy.

My days of carrying my heavy Billingham 550 camera bag with tons of lenses is over for me I think. I found a pretty cool Manfrotto bag with wheels which can be converted into a rucksack, which should be great for urban use.

No thoughts of returning to the lightweight Oly system?

I have toyed with the idea of an OM5 for hiking more than once, and my brother loves his EM10, but the Z7 with the 24-200 is not heavy ( weighs about the same as an EM1 + 12-100), and it fits in with all my other gear, to have a lightweight or full system. For my Architectural shots, shift lenses are only found in FF. I stuck with a FF and M43 system for a while and I decided I just needed to cut down and run just one system.

I did some rough sums and two Z7 bodies with the five or six lenses I take on an Architectural trip weighs only 5 kilos. So the trolley shoud solve the length of time I carry weight.

It is the two 6 packs of 1.5litre water bottles that we buy at the supermarket, that I was carrying up the stairs to our flat that are risky for me now.

    Yesterday on the slopes
Yesterday was all about skiing and not really about photography. But when it looks so beautiful and you have a mobile phone with you, you don't need to go home completely empty handed :-)
We were really lucky, the conditions were perfect! There had been no new snow for about 3 weeks, but on the day we arrived 40cm of fresh new snow arrived too. That did make driving here quite adventurous! Despite snow chains for the last 10km, I finally got stuck just 40m before our house, and started to slip down very close to the steep edge.
A freindly neighbour helped me back down and park down below.
A bit later and a bit more snow, my 2 friends, without chains, had to park 10km away, and took the last bus up to my place.
Anyway the next day on the slopes was great
Here's some quick shots, straight from the phone

The classic phone selfie on the way up with me in the middle :-)
