This one for me.
This one for me.
it would be refreshing to be on beach on hot day probably, but not with that crowd. I’d be there as snappy as dog in heat...
Nice overview of that world famous place.
I like this image, lovely background colours and nice tree shape on top of it. I also like that details in shadow are retained.
Magnificent views with snow covered montains in background. But last image with colours and shadows is my favorite from this set.
Yes, mono mode 2, which is supposedly simulation of kodak tri-x, but I think that in future I dial noise down little bit.
@Vahur has written:Old town, new camera
On Wednesday I took deep dive with my credit card and bought OM-3. On Thursday it was very warm (+17C, right now it's 0 and land is covered with snow...) so I took my camera out to show it old town.
It was fun to shoot and try different creative modes (I used mono, soft focus with stars effect and vivid modes) though handling is not optimal, as it's quite heavy camera without grip, missing focus point joystick and creative mode dial is too tight, requiring two fingers to turn. But my main reasons to replace OM-5 with OM-3 was similarity to my main camera OM-1, including battery, this makes it easier to switch between cameras.
All images are SOOC as DXO does not support OM-3 yet.Nothing like a new camera to stimulate the photographic appetite. Not being able to shift the focus point with a joy stick seems like a big omission. How do you move the focus point with this camera?
I like the vibe in this last shot.
There is direction pad and also LCD can be used, but both need 2-hand operation as you need to lose grip with right hand to reach them with thumb. But in this regard om-5 was similar. It definitely requires different handling than modern camera and slows down operation. Which may be good thing.
Waterworks - Nuts & Bolts
Part Ii from last week's thread of redesign of 1930's machine shop to present Food Hall...
I like that they left that pulley / hook(?) in place.
The Pinnacle
I decided to go back to a favourite place for my Sunday afternoon walk. The Sassi di Roccamalatina, are two pinnacles that rise out of the surrounding landscape. You can climb one of them via stairs that were cut into the rocks long ago. It was a slippery climb as it had been raining.
Here I am below the pinnacle that I climbed. You can see the Cross at the top of the pinnacle I climbed.
A nice Sunday walk! I can sense the very first touch of green from expanding tree buds - evrything to look forward to.

Interesting looking camera. I should be weighing up a replacement for my aged EM5ii, but I'm hoping it will keep going a bit longer! Size/weight is a big factor for me.
Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro.
I love the whole capture. When watching it on full resolution, it reminded me of “Where is Wally?", the nice patterns of umbrellas and ant-like people are very nice too.
Damson blossom time
Our new home overlooks the Lyth valley in Cumbria, centre of the Cumbrian damson growing area. With this week's warm weather, the trees are coming into blossom. The trees are scattered around the small local farms, adding a white froth to the picturesque scene. I haven't had much time for photography lately, but took the camera along on yesterday's evening stroll.
The second one is my pick. Congrats on your new home.
I like retro style cameras. I had the original Pen for a little while. Sometimes I regret selling it, but....
