Great series. One of the best...
Great atmosphere. Tops..
This is you? Always interesting to see the gang.
Some good shots among these. I like the girl hanging on the bar, the food shot and the last.
I think there's probably a better B&W profile in that camera. These seem to be a little tonally flat. No real whites.
Always amazed to see how some trees and shrubs cling to life in difficult circumstances. The last is great, two complementing sweeps of landscape.
Two really good landscape shots, especially the last one!
It's interesting to see the qualities that make a particular place a 'favourite'. I can understand this one; Maybe not the most spectacular but plenty to keep the interest, and potential for variety over time.
Must have been a brilliant experience. I like the way the vertical ships wake is mirrored by the sea defence.
Summer at last! I can feel the heat in this shot.
There is something fascinating about this cut price brutalist tower block.
I have thought about doing a series on the massive condos that were thrown up here in the sixties and seventies, during Italy's economic boom.
Cute. What is that lovely tree/shrub in the second?
Wow. A wedding? Like a Disney set.
Yeah, the Wedding reception room. I think it's set up like that all the time
One Late Spring Evening In The Woods
I'd say this was the star of that group and it's the tree that first caught my attention and drew me to the group shot above. The soft diffuse light really helps to draw out the jolly character of this tree.
Yes, this is the best shot in this set, some nice shapes.
Penkiln Valley
Our last walk in Galloway before heading south was the familiar path along the valley of the Penkiln valley. The flanking boggy moors are dry enough to walk across without getting your feet damp, and the cotton grass is flowering a month early.
Meanwhile the beech woods are looking their best.
I like the out of focus white blobs framing the other cotton grass.
I am sure you will have lots of new places to explore.
Rio, Brazil.
Taken from a helicopter and made use of Photoshop's excellent reflection removal tool.
That's a cool shot and I'm sure it was great experience.
With so much detail to look at, this would look good printed big.
I just realised that the reflection you removed must have been from the glass window of the helicopter. There's no sign of it on the photo so it must have worked very well :-)
