This is an interesting take on a normally very colourful bridge. I like the sense of motion brought into the otherwise very static scene. The repetition of the pattern with the coat and the structure is also pleasing.

The master started a Canary Wharf theme, so I felt obliged to follow suit. Yesterday, I was going through my old files and came across this shot. I was trying to create a composition with the glass piece above the staircase, but I noticed that a cropped version could bring something different.

Yes, the original was certainly more colourful but desaturating a lot made the person's outfit blend with the surroundings.

Excellent. A different approach worked well.
Most people normally go full frontal (!) in this spot as I did here:- Commuter Belt.

I like all the F F F Fs in the first. This shot could be brought to life with some daring processing emphasising the man, the Fs and the plant pots then darkening out everything else.
He / she / they is an interesting character in #2.

    In the Apennines

i took my first longish walk of the year. I was pleased that I could still cope with the steep climbs. It was a walk where the scenery was not too exiting, and the castle I wanted to photograph was totally overgrown.

The second part of this set are some mostly focus stacked shots of the flora.

Even with my 400mm lens, I had to crop this one drastically.

This was a second short walk, mostly about Macro.

I went on a 2 hour photowalk with Fuji yesterday in Chester. Had a lovely time. I managed to borrow the new 16-55 lens - quite nice, but I think my 16-50 is equally as good. Here's a few pictures I took. Feedback appreciated.

    A lot of colour
    DTCF0007-1_Superlarge.jpg

The classic view that everyone takes (2nd most photographed clock in the UK)
    DTCF0010-1_Superlarge.jpg

I took this through a balustrade at the town hall. It almost worked
    DTCF0045-1_Superlarge.jpg

Here's a close up of one side.
    DTCF0045-1-2_Superlarge.jpg

I liked taking this. I could see at least two stories in the scene.
    DTCF0059-Enhanced-NR-1_Superlarge.jpg

An interesting abstract. It was actually cushions to sit on.
    DTCF0062-Enhanced-NR-1_Superlarge.jpg

Flowers - taken with my 'cheap' 16-50 lens.
    DTCF0065-1_Superlarge.jpg

A crop from a building. Seemed nice to me.
    DTCF0070-Edit-1-2_Superlarge.jpg

This young lady was singing opera for us, raising money to go to uni. She had a lovely voice (and yes, I contributed). Taken through the supports for a balcony nearby.
    DTCF0074-1_Superlarge.jpg

Lastly, the old and the new with a sky that reflects what the building was to me. Taken with my X100VI.

Yes, this looks like a frame from a science fiction film. The way the pattern on the woman's jacket mirrors the architecture is what makes tis picture special.

    Is this a recent shot?

When I clicked on the second I was struck by the similarities of the wheat to the rock patterns.

The first is fine but would be much better if you cloned out the Liverppol scarves for Everton ones.
The last is very striking - obviously a sky replacement, right?

These two for me. The busker is the best of the through the balustrade shots. The other reminds me of chocolate drops.

We you tempted to add something to the gear collection?

Oh yes, done in On1 photo raw. As for cloning scarves - Everton are blue - wouldn't have fitted in at all 😁😁😂😂
